Fence repair in Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend
Leaning or broken posts, loose boards, sagging gates and storm damage, fixed before a small problem takes down a whole section.
Corpus Christi Fence Company is a free referral service. Tell us about the job and we pass it to independent local fence contractors who quote you directly.
On the Coastal Bend most fence repairs come down to three things: wind, rot and termites at the posts, and gates that sag. Fixing a leaning section early is cheaper than replacing the run after the next storm takes it down.
Common repairs
- Leaning or snapped posts: reset or replace, often with steel posts in concrete.
- Loose or broken boards and pickets: replaced to match, then sealed.
- Sagging or dragging gates: new hinges, an anti-sag kit, a new gate post or a rebuilt frame.
- Storm damage: sections blown down after a front or a tropical storm. Photograph the damage before cleanup if you plan an insurance claim, and check your policy.
Repair or replace?
If many posts are rotten or termite-damaged, or the fence is near the end of its life, replacing the run usually costs less over time than repeated repairs. A contractor can tell you which posts are sound.
Typical repair cost: $200 to $850 for most jobs (Fixr, HomeGuide, Angi). Removing an old fence before a replacement typically adds $3 to $5 per linear foot (HomeAdvisor, Angi, Bob Vila).
